APM Earned Value Specific Interest Group

The Earned Value SIG was formed in 2000 and the current chairman is Steve Wake.

This SIG comprises a group of people interested in earned value. Discrete working parties are established as and when required, the first of which is a cross-industry/government brainstorming group that will provide an overall structure for the guidelines being produced. All output from the groups will be available on this website for you to read and comment upon if you wish. This is the best way to get an idea going and to the widest possible audience. It also gives everybody the opportunity to participate in creation of the guidelines.

Objectives
The APM EV SIG aims to champion the cause of earned value in the UK. It has embarked upon the creation of guidelines and standards to support any earned value implementation. A sub-group has already started drafting the high-level earned value standard.

A CD ROM has been created has been developed by the Earned Value specific interest group, covering a number of issues surrounding earned value management. The CD-ROM is available through APM Publishing, and more details can be found at this link
